Today’s route was pretty good as far as bicycle paths, bicycle lanes, and road shoulder were concerned. It turned out that South Arizona Ave was a major arterial with heavy traffic. While we had mostly a pretty wide shoulder, there were large bumps every 20 feet or so due to expansion from the heat

This was a very flat route. The initial mileage until getting on to the freeway service road was pretty much all on Tucson's outstanding Loop trail system. They're very well paved and are excellent for any type of riding. They made getting out of Tucson very easy. The riding along the I-10 service
