The World Future Cycle Challenge has been described as the ultimate challenge in sustainable energy. The combination of long flat unrelenting roads and challenging hills across the Australian continent can only be conquered by employing the best techniques and procedures to every aspect of the event. Crossing the vast and imposing Australian landscape is also one of the great adventures of our time.
The World Future Cycle Challenge is undoubtedly the most arduous event of its type. The event starts in the riverside town of Renmark on the bank of the mighty River Murray. Positioned near the border with Victoria and New South Wales, this is the perfect location from which to embark on this great adventure, which takes participants through some of the most beautiful parts of Australia: the Riverland, Murraylands, Barossa Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and Mt Lofty Ranges regions of South Australia.
