About This Route

This section of the D&L (tow-path) trail connects Sand Island in Bethlehem to Canal Park in Allentown. Although at the present time you cannot proceed past Canal Park in Allentown northward on the trail, it is under construction to be able to safely connect through the city of Allentown using the D&L trail in the near future.

From Sand Island in Bethlehem, you can continue uninterrupted southward to destinations like Freemansburg, Palmer Township, and Easton, where the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers converge.
