About This Route

Abwechslungsreich stellt sich unsere Küstenlandschaft dar. Um die Geest sinnlich erfahrbar zu machen, empfehlen wir Ihnen, der Route von Bockhorn richtung Petershörn zu folgen. Von dort aus kann man schon den Geestrücken von Dangast gut erkennen, der sich erhaben bis an die Küstenlinie erstreckt, um dort, als Folge der Gewalt von Sturmfluten, steil in das Meer abzubrechen. Die Strecke führt weiter vom Dangaster Hafen zum fünf Kilometer entfernten Vareler Hafen mit seinen zahlreichen Fischrestaurants, in denen der Fisch fangfrisch direkt vom Kutter kommt. Auf dem Rückweg sollte man auch einen Bummel durch die Innenstadt von Varel mit seinen zahlreichen Bürgerhäusern einplanen.
