About This Route

Up and back makes near 60, most of the grade is pretty easy.. Makes for a nice tempo ride where you can touch your threshold and then back-off to find your tempo again.. several good spots to mark for times along the way, such as Drake (about half way, and the grade steepens).

What I like about this up and back is that the first half is pretty easy riding and you warm up nicely before it gets steeper at Drake. From there you can pick your level of punishment and push up to your limit yet able to back off and regain your tempo. Great beginners climb route..

Last couple of miles up to Pole Hill rd is the steepest section, so save a touch of gas..
