About This Route

Deze tweedagse tocht gaat van de Noord-Eifel over de Moesel bij Bernkastel naar het Zuid-Oosten, het begin van de Hunsrück. Overnachting in de luxeuse jeugdherberg te Sargenroth (zwembad aanwezig). De heenweg verloopt deels via de zgn. Maare-Moosel Radweg, een glad geasfalteerd fietspad over een voormalige spoorlijn. Eenvoudig te befietsen door het geringe hellingspercentage. De rivier de Moesel ligt op ca. 100m. hoogte, daarna is het dus weer stevig klimmen naar 718m. De terugreis verloopt deels ook over een voormalige spoorlijn. De tocht gaat nu wat oostelijker en meer binnendoor. Het gebied is deels landelijk, deels bebost. Ca. 30 km. Vóór Blankenheim tref je nog het circuit de Nurbürgring.
