Cycling day trip from Toulouse to Carcassonne

Hop on your bike in Toulouse, the “Pink City” known for its stunning terracotta buildings and vibrant culture. This route will lead you on an amazing journey to the historic Carcassonne, a fortified city that's straight out of a fairy tale with its medieval walls and towers.

Set off on mostly quiet roads and paths, making about 106 km of pretty flat riding with an enjoyable mix of surfaces. You'll find most of the journey is on asphalt, though there's a bit of adventure across gravel and earthen tracks — nothing too wild, but enough to keep it interesting!

You'll climb gently, with the highest point reaching roughly 200 meters, which promises some mildly rolling landscapes along the way. It's not all hills though, as you'll end up descending more than you climb, offering some sweet downhill coasting to finish off.
