<span style="font-size: 7pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">Diese Fahrradtour von 66 km beginnt östlich
von Wesel auf dem Parkplatz eines Lebensmittelmarktes an der B 58. Ich habe
versucht, möglichst Straßen mit viel Autoverkehr zu vermeiden. Vom
Ausgangspunkt führt die Route in südliche Richtung zur Lippe, die man mit einer
von Hand zu bedienenden Fähre (ein kleines Abenteuer) überquert. Auf der Fahrt
weiter nach Süden erreicht man den Wesel-Datteln-Kanal. Weiter folgt der
Routenverlauf etwa 14 km dem Kanal auf der nördlichen Seite, vorbei an der sehr
interessanten Kanal-Schleuse Hünxe und dem Schloss Gartrop (evtl. kurze
Mittagspause) bis Schermbeck. Nach ca. 6 km führt der Weg dann kurz vor Dorsten
vorbei an Deuten nach Norden bis Rhade. Ab hier beginnt der Rückweg nach Wesel
in Richtung Westen. Dieser ca. 14 km lange Routenabschnitt führt durch Erle. Nordwestlich
davon liegt Raesfeld. Am Ende des Dämmerwaldes geht es dann Richtung Süden bis
zum netten Landhaus-Café Selders, das ich sehr für eine
Kaffeepause empfehlen kann. Bis zum Abfahrtsparkplatz sind es dann nur noch 8
km. </span>
